Day Programs

Day Programs provide structured activity and enrichment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Our goal is to assist the individuals we serve in reaching their maximum potential as functioning members of their community.

Participants engage in a wide variety of center-based activities from meal preparation to dance classes and gardening.  They also participate in activities throughout the community, including paid and volunteer employment.

Programs may also provide specialized training in alternative/ augmentative communication, orientation/mobility, sensory development, personal safety, self-advocacy and alternative behavior strategies.

Because Day Programs are centered around an individual’s interests, program staff hold intake meetings with each individual to get to know their interests, hobbies and personality.
