CRR Host Home Program
The MENTOR Community Residential Rehabilitation Host Home Program has, as its most basic goal, the provision of an array of therapeutic supports and services to vulnerable children and their families enabling both to be successful in their own lives and within the larger community. Pennsylvania MENTOR’s mission is to create a system of services that will provide children with complex conditions options for living in the community, supports for attaining independence, and opportunities to grow and develop personal connections in natural settings.
Pennsylvania MENTOR believes that individuals should have the opportunity to receive services and supports in their own communities regardless of the complexity of their conditions, the severity of their disabilities, or the challenges of their behaviors. All client treatment is designed according to each individual’s needs with the goal of improving interpersonal and community skills. Adolescents in the program share the goal of developing community and functional living skills as well as addressing their own particular sexual growth and development.
Basic services provided for every child include room & board, advice and counseling, medication monitoring and adherence, self-care training, supervision of schoolwork/activities, recreation, involvement in the treatment planning process, treatment plan implementation, and family support.
